"Techniker Beach Tour 2018": EAST END Takes
Responsibility for marketing activities of the Techniker

  • For the first time, the health insurer is the title sponsor of the German Beach Volleyball Association’s national tournament series
  • EAST END is TK‘s constant partner for brand experiences and sponsoring mobilization
  • Amongst other things, the “Techniker FitnessLounge” was developed, making the overall concept of “living progress” tangible

Summer, sun, beach and sea. These are attributes usually linked to vacation. EAST END, the agency for brand experiences, accompanies the health insurer, Techniker, on the “Techniker Beach Tour 2018” from June 8th to September 2nd. On behalf of Techniker, EAST END is responsible for the areas of consulting, concept, planning and implementation of all sponsoring and marketing activities as constant partner.

This is the first year that Techniker is the title sponsor of Europe’s largest national tournament series held by the German Volleyball Association. As part of its “living progress” campaign, Techniker positions itself as an innovative health insurer that already makes the latest therapies available to its members. That is why EAST END also designed and implemented the brand presentation in the form of the “Techniker FitnessLounge”. A comprehensive evaluation throughout the tour which was developed and carried out by EAST END, should enable a follow-up assessment of Techniker’s sponsoring activity on various levels. For the evaluation of visitor numbers, EAST END also uses the tracking tool by the start-up Store2be. Since the beginning of the year, the agency for brand experiences is the Berlin start-up’s exclusive partner.

The generous design of the “Techniker FitnessLounge” combines the thematic areas anti-stress, movement and nutrition under one roof and makes the claim “living progress” an interactive experience. Techniker presents the latest health and fitness modules for try-out. In the FitnessChallenge, visitors can prove their physical fitness using various checks based on volleyball and supervised by professional sports scientists. Further highlights include a smoothie bike and a “VideoCoach”, an interactive body mirror where the visitors can try out various workouts with the help of a digital coach and then get individual advice on the perfect execution. The roof terrace of the FitnessLounge invites visitors to relax following the FitnessChallenge. Techniker employees are available on-site to answer questions and give advice.

The “Techniker Beach Tour 2018” consists of nine events in: Münster, Dresden, Dusseldorf, Nuremberg, Kühlungsborn, St.Peter Ording, Leipzig and Zinnowitz. Highlight and conclusion of the event is the German Beach Volleyball Championship from August 30th to September 2nd on Timmendorf beach.
